Supply Chain Discussion

Technology “It’s an incredible tool,” Jarrett says, noting the progress that has been made in the last 30 years. Back then electronic data interchange (EDI) was the cutting-edge solution for linking supply chain partners. Now it’s being replaced by application programming interfaces (APIs), which are proving to be “a very efficient, cost-effective way to tie your systems.”.

Nucleus' backend and frontend systems are all linked together by application programming systems(APIs). It has enabled Nucleus to build its platform which enables employees and customers visibility and links across carriers, clients, and suppliers. But as he says, and as Nucleus has found, technology is only a tool. It cannot entirely replace people in supply chain operations. That is why Nucleus is constantly monitoring service levels across its suppliers so that it can resolve or advise customers before problems surface. Customers can focus on their businesses, in which they are experts. And have peace of mind that the Nucleus team is conducting and optimizing their supply chain, which Nucleus are experts in.
